About

I’m Derek Wang, a Principal Software Engineer at Intuit.

I’m the project lead of Argo Events, a CNCF Graduated project for event-driven workflow automation, and the creator and project lead of Numaflow, a platform for running massively parallel, real-time data processing pipelines on Kubernetes.

I also created and lead Kynomesh, a platform for orchestrating, autoscaling, and discovering distributed agentic workloads.

Outside of maintaining these projects, I spend most of my time thinking about distributed systems, Kubernetes, and the kind of infrastructure problems that only show up at scale.
